2009-10 Programming

Hello Members,

It is hard to believe, but it is almost September and that means its time to make plans to attend our fall dinner meetings.   We have been working hard to lineup speakers and set dates, and we now have the 2 fall dates set, so I wanted to forward the information.

We have scheduled Lee Hager from the AIHA noise committee to speak on the ACGIH TLV for noise and the logic and documentation of the TLV.   This meeting will be on Tuesday September 22nd at Revere’s Well Street Tavern in Delafield.

The other dinner meeting will be held on Tuesday November 17th at the Delafield Brewhaus.  The speaker will be Dr. Praveen Parboteeah a business professor from UW-Whitewater. Dr. Parboteeah teaches a course on business ethics and has written several papers on ethical climates and work place safety.

A date for our third meeting of the year has not been set, but we are looking for a date in February, in Madison, where Kim Stille, the OSHA Area Director in Madison, will talk about OSHA enforcement updates.

Finally we will again be hosting a full day PDC in Whitewater.  This will be held in late March or early April and will concentrate on welding and fume reduction issues.

I hope to have the formal announcement and registration for the September meeting out next week.   Please be sure to mark these two dates down.  Let me know if you have any questions or comments on this years programs.

Look forward to seeing everyone soon.
