Dinner Program: 2/1/2018, Wauwatosa

Topic: Monitoring Remediation Work at Your Facility

Your facility will eventually experience water damage, sewage release, bodily fluid release, asbestos removal, or smoke damage. Whether your company hires a specialty restoration company or has in-house staff members address the situation, you will likely be in charge of overviewing the work to ensure occupants aren’t further exposed to the issue. Even if a specialty environmental consultant is hired to overview the work and conduct testing, you still will likely be completing periodic visual assessments of the work area during the project.

This presentation provides information to health and safety professionals on how to monitor and test around restoration work spaces to ensure and document the work is being completed without creating further occupant exposures. Testing methods and analyses, discussion on what sample results can and can’t indicate, usage of instant reading devices, and overview of visual indicators will be presented by a specialty environmental consultant.

Speaker: Cassidy Kuchenbecker, MS has been conducting indoor environmental assessments and directing restoration activities on a daily basis since 2002. As a microbiologist, he is trained in various forms of microscopy and has varying degrees of competency in analyzing samples for mold, bacteria, smoke, particles, and asbestos.
