10/13/16: Dinner Program and Plant Tour, Appleton

Program Topic:  The Future Trends of Ventilation in the Welding Industry

We are excited to be offering a two part event that will include a tour of the Miller Electric facility in Appleton, as well as a technical presentation on Ventilation by Miller Electric staff after dinner.

Miller Electric Manufacturing Company is headquartered in Appleton WI.  Their products that we are most used to seeing are their blue local exhaust ventilation units but they also have a line of very attractive welding helmets and other personal protective equipment.  This company started as a one-man operation in 1929 and is now the world’s largest manufacturer of arc welding products.

Miller electric is focused on a philosophy of continuous improvement, product quality, and after sale support.  One of their facilities in Appleton is a laboratory where they develop and test the next generation in local exhaust ventilation units.  Miller Electric both builds and uses their equipment creating a unique opportunity for generating user centric improvements.

Their products are designed with their users input for manufacturing, fabrication, construction, aviation, motorsports, education, agriculture and marine applications.  To ensure the viability of their product they keep a watchful eye on changes in regulations and customer workplace conditions.
